PURODIL TABLET Purodil Tablet is used for Skin whitening, Lesions of the skin, Leprosis, Allergic rhinitis, Spermicidal, Skin sores, Hyperthermia, Leprosy, Eczema, Oral infections and other conditions. Purodil Tablet may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide. Purodil Tablet contains Acacia Catechu, Chopchini, Curcuma Longa, Guduchi, Hemidesmus Indicus, Kalmegh, Neem, Swertia Chirata and Yashtimadhu as active ingredients. Purodil Tablet works by activating through opioid receptors; stimulating the cell-mediated immune mechanisms to elicit an enhanced response to subsequent mitogenic or antigenic challenge; lowering blood sugar level; inhibiting the mucus depletion and mast cell degranulation; stimulating cell-mediated immune reaction; retarding the growth and development of asexual and sexual stages of drug sensitive and resistant strains of the human malarial parasite; inhibiting the oral squamous cell carcinoma induced by 7, 12-dimethylbenz[a]anthracene; protecting the skin against oxidative damage; dispersing the melanin due to the presence of liquiritin; inhibiting the prostaglandin formation and cyclooxygenase activity; inhibiting the growth of viruses; scavenging the free radicals; promoting insulin secretion and also by inhibiting gluconeogenesis and glycogenolysis; stimulating the growth of bone forming cells; decreasing the resistance of HIV Virus; decreasing the serum transaminase levels; reducing the amyloid levels and oxidized proteins; inhibiting intestinal motility; possessing bactericidal activity; possessing protective against the arthritis; lowering the duration of hind leg extension in maximal electroshock test; reducing the sodium channel activity; suppressing the carrageenan-induced hind paw oedema; stimulating the immune system; inhibiting cyclooxygenase-2 and 5-lipoxygenase enzymes; inhibiting the growth of bacteria, fungi and virus; possessing potent free radical scavenging action; possessing significant antidiabetic and hypoglycemic actions
